This particular activity meets the benchmark, K.4.6. (Measure length with non-standard units; e.g.,paper clips, cubes) In this activity students cut out the mitten, snowball, and snowflake rulers and measure the 5 different igloos while recording their height on the recording sheet. I have placed black dots on the igloos to help students know where to start/end their measurement! Click here for the recording sheet. Here are the igloos and rulers. I tried to number the igloos, but for some reason they weren't saving correctly in PDF format. This means you will need to number them...just write 1-5 on the igloos. Enjoy!
