My students absolutley love digging in the grass to find hidden items. They pull out an item and record it on their paper. Click here for your copy. Students draw a picture of what they found, then stretch out the word to write. I had originally used this mass about of Easter grass during my bug unit when I put tweezers and plastic bugs out for students to explore with!

Marshmallow Math
Students use the addition template to help them practice adding and counting on. Students roll the dice to determine their first number then write the number and place that many marshmallows in their cup. Students roll the dice again and write the number and place that many marshmallows in their cup. Then students count the marshmallows and write the final number. You could play this game with coffee cups (non-breakable) or by making paper cups from scrapbook paper. Click here for the materials. You'll have to find/make your own coffee cups though!

I found this in the snow...
I was chatting with Nikki today and she told me about a great work station activity. She has set up a sensory tub with fake snow and hidden all sorts of random items in there! Students are able to play in the snow and find the mysterious items and record their results on a paper. They draw a picture in the box and then use their ABC card to write the word. : D Very fun idea...I made a recording sheet for it!! Click here for your copy!
