Copy these adorable polar bears on white construction paper and laminate for durability. Cut them out and place them in a pocket chart. Review the words with students and play the game as a whole group, then allow students to play on their own after the rules are well established. Students may place this with partners. Have one partner hide the slide behind a polar bear. The other student reads a sight word then checks behind the polar bear for the sled. Once a word is read, it must be written down on the recording sheet. If the sight word is found the student writes the sight word and colors in the polar bear. : ) Enjoy.
